ALL-DAY FUN AND JOY

A Costume Fun Run in Pensacola That Ends at a Food Festival

Nothing is timed. Nobody is racing. Pick a distance, put on the most ridiculous food costume you own, and run or walk your way through downtown. Pensacola with a few hundred people who did the same thing.

The Pensacola Food Fight Run starts at Bartram Park at eight in the morning and finishes at Seville Square. At ten o'clock the Pensacola Pickles and Wings Family Festival opens across Bartram Park, Fountain Park, and Seville Square, and the day keeps going until seven at night.

Runners, walkers, families, strollers, and first-timers are all welcome. Registration is required for the run. The festival is free.

Brought to you by the Pensacola Pickles and Wings Family Festival

The Pensacola Food Fight Run is a division of the Pensacola Pickles and Wings Family Festival. Same team, same day, same three downtown parks. You are not driving somewhere else afterward. You are already there.

That same team puts on the Pensacola Hippie Festival every October at Seville Square. Free admission, real food, live music, local makers, and a whole lot of people willing to wear a costume in public.

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida, supporting families with children receiving medical care.

Two Distances, Both Untimed

The 1 Mile Family Walk is one short loop, stroller and wagon friendly, and easy for small kids. The 2 Mile Run or Walk is the longer route. Both distances start together at 8:00 AM at Bartram Park and both finish at Seville Square.

Pick a team when you register

Choose your team when you sign up, wear it on the course, and find the rest of them at the festival afterward. You can register a whole group under one team and one person can pick up every bib.

Costumes required, effort optional

Tacos, pizza slices, donuts, hot dogs, sushi rolls, a single french fry. Homemade beats store bought and the judges know it. Costume judging happens at the festival and it is open to everyone on the grounds, whether they ran that morning or not.

What is waiting at ten o'clock

Wings and pickles cooked every way somebody could think of. Food Truck Alley. Live entertainment on the stage from open to close. The Pickle Marketplace, full of local makers and artists. A kids zone with carnival games. The pickle eating contest, the costume contests, and the Mechanical Pickle Ride.

The Pickle Priest will be there, signing autographs and bringing big dill energy all day.

Free admission, free street parking, and public lots nearby. Bring the whole family.
