About the Pensacola Food Fight Run
The Pensacola Food Fight Run is an untimed costume run and walk that opens festival day in downtown Pensacola. No clock, no results, no age group awards. Pick a distance, wear your food, and go.
Every registration includes a bib and a ribbon at the finish, with water on course and at the finish. Bring your own costume, that is the whole point, and we do not sell them.
This is the one paid part of the day. The festival that follows is free and open to everyone whether you run or not.
The course through downtown Pensacola
Both distances start at Bartram Park on the Pensacola Bayfront and finish at Seville Square, where the festival opens at 10:00 AM.
The route runs along the bayfront and through the Seville Historic District. It is flat start to finish, marked the whole way, with volunteers at every crossing. The course is not fully closed to traffic, so stay on the marked route and follow the course marshals at intersections.
DISTANCES
1 Mile Family Walk
One short loop of downtown. Stroller and wagon friendly, and easy for small kids.
2 Mile Run or Walk
The longer route. Run it, walk it, or somewhere in between.
Both distances start together at 8:00 AM. The course closes at 9:30 AM. Route map coming soon.
PRIZES
Costume trophies for First, Second, and Third Place.
Judging happens at the festival, not at the run, and it is open to everyone on the grounds. You do not have to run to enter. Do not put the costume away at ten o’clock.

Registration closes Sunday, May 9, 2027.
Everyone must be preregistered, and there is no event morning registration. Entry fees are nonrefundable, and bibs are nontransferable.

Bring your registration confirmation. A friend can pick up for you if their name is on the list, and one person can collect all the bibs for a group.
Ribbons are handed out at the finish line, not at pickup.
Will call is available at Bartram Park on event morning from 7:00 to 7:45 AM for pre registered participants only. Will call is not a registration desk.

Plan to arrive by 7:30 because the group photo starts at 7:45 sharp. A May morning in Pensacola is already warm and humid by eight, so build your costume with that in mind and drink water before you start. There is water on course and at the finish.

Frequently asked questions about the Pensacola Food Fight Run
The run is the warm up. Stay for the festival.
The course closes at 9:30 and the festival opens at 10:00 in the same place you just finished. You are already downtown, already parked, and already dressed as a taco. Walk on in.
The Pensacola Pickles and Wings Family Festival spreads across Bartram Park, Fountain Park, and Seville Square with wings, pickles, food trucks, live entertainment, local makers, carnival games, and a kids zone, until seven at night. Admission is free, for you and for anyone you invite to meet you there. Tell your family to show up at ten and find you at the finish.

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida, supporting families with children receiving medical care.
